Jan 2013 - Pablo's Winter premieres at MOMA, New York City and Glasgow Film Fest


MFA Advanced Film Practice graduate Chico Pereira's film Pablo's Winter screened at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City as part of MOMA's Documentary Fortnight 2013 International Festival of Nonfiction Film and Media, which took place February 15 through March 4, 2013. Pablo's Winter screened on Feb 15th the opening night of the festival which was the film's North American premiere.


Pablo's Winter had it's UK premiere 3 days later at the Glasgow Film Festival on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 04:45 PM at the Glasgow Film Theatre.


Pablo’s Winter, created by Chico Pereira as his graduation film for the MFA Advanced Film Practice at Screen Academy Scotland, was also named Best Student Documentary at this year’s International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA).

It is the third time the film has received international acclaim.Chico Pereira was awarded €8,000 at DOK Leipzig 2012 in Germany after winning the Healthy Workplaces Film Award. He also walked away with an Honourable Mention for Extraordinary Documentary Film Talent at the film festival, which is one of the longest-running in the world.

Fresh from the Museum of Modern Art, Pablo's Winter will also show at the IDFA Days in Moscow and then come to Edinburgh for the first time, as part of the Screen Academy MFA Advanced Film Practice Showcase at the Filmhouse on 14 March. FIND OUT MORE
