Kelly Holmes' film Family Portrait  tells the story of Margaret who must convince her daughter Louise to take responsibility for the family after the death of her father, whilst the family endures the ritual of a family portrait. It will be screened as part of the Scottish Competition 2 The Parent Trap on Friday 17th of March 21.15 at the CCA.

Last year Family Portrait  won the top prize at Paris Courts Devant where it won post production funding. As the winning film it also won the grand prize of a broadcast contract with France's 2nd biggest TV channel 'France 3' and a grade with Film Factory Paris. Winning the prize gave Kelly the opportunity to work with industry professionals and increase the audience for the film. Family Portrait screened  on France 3 on the 13th of December 2016. In January 2017 Kelly Holmes was nominated for Best Female Director at the London Short Film Festival with Family Portrait where the film had it's UK premiere.
