Graduate - Sueann Smith - MA Screen Project Development

Sueann Smith graduated with a Postgraduate Certificate of Credit Screen Project Development in 2005. After graduating with a BA in Animation from Edinburgh College of Art Sueanne decided very quickly that she wasn’t destined to be an animator and moved in to a production role instead. Sueann began by producing short films and worked on several films through schemes like Cineworks and Bridging the Gap. She then moved on to TV series production and has produced shows for Cartoon Network, Disney XD, The Family Channel and CBBC. She was also the Chair of the Scottish Animation Group in 2007.

She joined Red Kite Animation in 2001 and worked as Head of Production playing a key role in producing many animated projects including producer of Dennis & Gnasher (52 x 11’ and 52 x 1’ series for CBBC).

In April 2010, she became Managing Director of RedKite.
