Ronnie Mackintosh graduated with an MFA Advanced Film Practice as a screenwriter in Oct 2010. His final project The Neighbours which starred respected Scottish Actor Peter Mullan has screened at the following film festivals:

His latest project Small Gifts co-produced by Atonement director Joe Wright and starring Bend it like Beckham star Shaheen Khan screened at the East End Film Festival in April where it was nominated for Best Short Film. Ronnie was formerly a DCI with Lothian and Borders Police,
After a successful 30 year career in the police force Ronnie retired 4 years ago to pursue screenwriting. He enrolled in the Writers' Factory Introduction to Screenwriting evening class at Screen Academy Scotland. He progressed to the Intermediate Screenwriting course and then to the MA Screenwriting masters degree in 2007. He then successfully transferred to the MFA Advanced Film Practice in 2008 and will graduate in July this year.
