Catriona Craig graduated with an MFA Advanced Film Practice in 2008. Her graduation film The Problem with Pets, which was directed by Catriona, written by Frances O’Neill ( MFA Advanced Film Practice 2008) and produced by Susan Wright (MA Screen Project Development 2007) has shown in festivals around the world from Beijing to Nashville and has been nominated and has won a number of awards including:

Beijing Student Film Festival 2008 – WINNER Audience Award
Southern Appalachian International Film Festival 2008 – WINNER Best Short Comedy
UNICEF Children’s Film Award 2009 (Shortlist)
Oberhausen Short Film Festival 2009 – Runner Up Prize of the Children’s Jury
Berlin Short Film Festival 2009 – WINNER Best Short Children’s Film
Most recently The Problem with Pets screened at the 2010 Nashville Film Festival April 15-22 2010. The film was selected from more than 2,200 entries.

Catriona was taken on by an agent for her writing following her success as a finalist on the Channel4 PILOT Scheme. She also directed the theatre production "A Skull in Connemara" for Love and Madness Ensemble that opened June 09 at the Riverside theatre and toured between October and November 09.

She is currently concentrating on writing and is developing an hour-long television drama pilot with Euroscript and two further short film scripts. She is also working on her first feature script, WALLFLOWER, under the supervision of Paul Chitlik of UCLA at a development lab this summer.

When she isn’t concentrating on her own work Catriona works in development for Icebox Films, Dublin and is on the literary panel of the Royal National Theatre in London. She is a member of the writers’ workshop, Script Tank.
