Belinda Love graduated with an MA Screenwriting in Oct 2010. Her first short film was a collaborative project with then Napier Photography and Film degree student now talented Production Designer, Niina Topp, called ‘Be a Woman’. A planned partner short for this film developed into another short ‘No Pressure’ starring the voiceover of writer and broadcaster Richard Holloway. Belinda has a number of current projects in development in daemon productions, a coalition where she writes, edits and project-develops with Gerard Lohan, Film Lecturer at Jewel and Esk Valley College.

During her part-time study period she worked at the Scottish Arts Council during the last two years of transition to Creative Scotland. Invigorated by the experience of ‘championing the arts for Scotland’ and her enjoyment of some of the activities developing what was to become the new arts and screen development body for Scotland, she has founded The Masques Agency, a new agency representing professional actors and performing artists in Scotland; with a social/cultural output in the shape of an in-house initiative, Making Traques, aiming to advocate opportunities and encourage uptake of performing and creative arts practices and careers in Scotland.

Since leaving the arts council and Screen Academy Scotland, Belinda has also: freelanced in editing, writing, and photography; become a board member for North Edinburgh Arts; and volunteers as press officer for Girl Geek Scotland.
