Overview
This workshop aims to navigate through producers and production staff through the new multiple tapeless workflows for picture and sound in film & TV production.
Workflows have always been an integral part of the production process but with the advent of digital and now tapeless data acquisition and post production, understanding the choices and controls at each part of your film’s workflow becomes ever more crucial.
Tutors:
Scott Ward is an award winning Director of Photography with a vested interest in the quality of image control through post production workflows. With Minttumaari Mantynen he runs the production company ‘Pulkka’ which has managed tapeless workflows since 2005. Minttumaari Mantynen is a cinematographer and a filmmaker, with credits in both award winning drama and documentary.
Rob Walker is a dubbing mixer and sound editor/designer with credits across independent feature films, TV, documentary, short film and animation. He also teaches Film Sound at Edinburgh Napier University and is a Avid Certified Pro Tools instructor.
Prerequisites
None but some drama production experience would be useful.
