Jonathan Blair
Animation Trainee 2011/12

Through Screen NETS Jonathan hopes to gain experience in 3D modelling and compositing as well as making contacts in the industry.

Jonathan is an animator currently based in Dundee. He has previously worked as an assistant digital artist on the Oscar nominated feature film The Illusionist and the BAFTA Scotland award winning short animation The Happy Duckling.  His graduation film A Hundred and Forty Suns was nominated for Best Animation at the Royal Television Society Scotland Student awards.  His freelance animation projects include using particle effects for projected animations at The Enchanted Forest, and three animated sections for Hang on the Bell, Nellie - winner of Short Documentary at the 2011 Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival.

As a Screen NETS trainee Jonathan is currently working with Glasgow based Axis Animation.

Will Anderson
Animation Trainee 2011/12

Will is being supported with Career Development through Screen NETS.

Will grew up in the Highlands, and now lives in Edinburgh.  He has worked as an animator/designer on projects for The Comedy Unit, Red Kite Animation and Suspicious Productions.  His student film ‘The Making of Longbird’ is multi-award winning, including the Golden Dove for Animated Film at Leipzig and the 2012 Scottish Short Film Award at the Glasgow Film Festival.
