Six students and graduates from Scotland, Ireland, Hungary and Finland have been awarded prizes at the final workshop of ENGAGE 2011 which took place from 24th – 30th September in Tallinn, Estonian and Helsinki, Finland.

We are delighted that two of our Screen NETS trainees are currently working on Under The Skin, an adaptation of a Michel Faber novel and directed by Jonathan Glazer, who previously directed Sexy Beast.  Marianne Gallagher joins the Art Department focusing on Graphics, and Lewis McInnes is specialising in Digital Imaging Technology within the Camera Department.

Graders the debut feature film by Screen Academy MA Screenwriting graduate David Hutchinson will premier at the Inverness Film Festival.

Maria’s Way a short documentary by Screen Academy MFA Film Directing graduate (eca) Anne Milne will screen at Recontres des Cinemas du Monde on the 29th of October in Poitiers, France.  Maria's Way won Best Scottish Short Documentary at the Edinburgh International Film Festival when it premiered there in June 2010 and has gone on to screen widely at internationa

Screen Academy Scotland MFA Advanced Film Practice graduate Mandy Lee has been awarded a place on the Playwrights Studio Scotland Screen Writing Residencies to develop a feature (which originated during her time at the Screen Academy).

Screen Academy MA Screenwriting graduate Amy Rich has won The Djerassi Residency Award/SFFS Screenwriting Fellowship for her project The Insect Princess.
