Grigoris Vardharinos (Edinburgh Skillset Screen & Media Academy at eca MA Film Directing Graduate 2009) has won a prize at the “Artfools " film festival in Larissa, Greece for his film “Talking Piranhas”
Maria's Way a film Directed and Produced by Anne Milne current MA Film and TV student at Edinburgh Skillset Screen & Media Academy at eca and recent winner of a BAFTA New Talent Award for Best Student Work, has been accepted to the following film festivals
Chris Eva selected by the Screen Academy for the Crossover New Entrants Programme - which is being hosted in part by the Screen Academy Scotland along with Screen Academy Wales and Screen Academy Bournemouth - has been selected for a place on Content 360 programme at Cannes next month.

Since launching in July 2005, the Edinburgh Skillset Screen and Media Academy has helped over 200 writers, directors, producers and animators to make their mark on the page, on the set and on the screen with a string of festival screenings, awards and commissions. In that time they have charmed, excited and enlightened audiences all around the world from Beijing to Nashville.

She Writes is a new flagship training programme for 2010 aimed specifically at women screenwriters, co-presented by The Script Factory together with Birds Eye View.
